Venna Terms of Use
Effective from: 27 October 2026 · Version 1.0
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Venna Platform AB (reg. no. 559586-9073, Rosendalsvägen 27 G lgh 1212, 756 44 Uppsala, Sweden, support@venna.se) – "Venna", "we". They apply when you use the Venna app and venna.se. By creating an account you accept the terms. How we process personal data is described in our privacy policy (venna.se/privacy).
Venna is free to use.
2. What Venna is
Venna helps you find events and plan them with friends: map and suggestions, plans, polls, chats and communities.
- Venna does not sell tickets. When you buy a ticket, the purchase is made with the organizer or the ticketing platform, on their terms. Venna is not a party to the purchase and is not responsible for it, even when we receive a commission for purchases through our links. The commission does not affect the price you pay.
- Events come from many places: from ticketing platforms and other public sources, from organizers and from users. We do our best to make sure the information is correct, but time, place, price and content may change or be wrong. Check with the organizer before you go.
- Venna does not organize events and is not responsible for how an event is carried out, cancelled or changed. The organizer is.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old. Events with an age limit of 18 are not shown to anyone younger.
- An account is personal. You may not let anyone else use it or create accounts for others.
- An account is either a personal account or an organizer account, never both. Organizer accounts are also covered by the organizer terms.
- You sign in with Apple, Google or a one-time code sent to your email. There are no passwords. Keep your email and your phone protected – anyone who can access them may be able to access your account.
- The information you provide must be true. You may not pretend to be someone else.
4. What you share
- You own what you create – events, images, messages, polls and communities.
- For Venna to work, you give us the right to store, display, adapt (for example crop an image), make searchable and distribute your content in Venna and on venna.se, to the people you have chosen to share it with. This right applies as long as the content exists in Venna and ends when it is deleted, except for what the privacy policy says about messages and backups.
- You are responsible for what you share and confirm that you have the right to share it, for example that you may use an image.
- What you share with everyone can be seen, saved and shared further by others. A public event is an event you publish for Everyone (Who can see this? → Everyone), and events that Venna fetches from public sources. Events for Friends, Invited or Members are never public. A public event is shown to everyone and made searchable on Venna, including with Venna AI. Other events are only shown to the people they are for.
5. Venna AI
- Venna AI helps you when you ask for it, for example to write an event description or read an event from a poster.
- AI can be wrong. Check the suggestion before you publish it; you are the one who publishes and is responsible for the text.
- Nothing you write or upload is sent to Venna AI before you have said yes. The only exception is public events: their title, place, organizer and description are made searchable for everyone on Venna, including with Venna AI. (See section 4.)
- Read in makes a draft from a link, an image, a PDF or a text. Pages on Facebook and Instagram cannot be read. If the event is already on Venna, you are told so instead of a duplicate being created.
- Only send material about events, never private conversations or other people's personal data.
- You can withdraw your consent to Venna AI in the settings.
6. Community rules – this is not allowed
The rules apply to everything in Venna: profiles, events, images, chats, plans and communities.
- Illegal content, for example incitement against a group, unlawful threats, child sexual abuse material, copyright infringement or the sale of drugs, weapons or anything else illegal.
- Threats, harassment and hate against people or groups.
- Sexual content, and anything sexual involving anyone under 18.
- Violence and dangerous behaviour that is encouraged or glorified.
- Other people's personal data without consent, for example addresses, phone numbers or images of private individuals in vulnerable situations.
- Fake or misleading events, fraud, ticket scams and fake organizers.
- Spam and advertising that is not a real event, and mass sending of invitations.
- Pretending to be someone else, an organizer or Venna.
- Poster photos of posters that are not publicly displayed, or that you do not have the right to share.
- Misuse of the service: automated accounts, scraping, attempts to get around security or limits, and disrupting the service for others.
- Getting around a block or suspension, for example by creating a new account.
7. Reports, moderation and actions
7.1 Report. You report an event created by a user at the end of the event page ("Report this event"), a profile, an organizer profile that an organizer has taken over or a community via "⋯" → Report, and a message by pressing and holding it. Anything else, for example events from ticketing platforms, you report to support@venna.se. Say why and, if it concerns illegal content, which law you believe is being broken.
7.2 How we handle a report. We handle reports without undue delay. An automated review, which may include AI, can hide content while a human decides. A community or a tip may also be hidden automatically when several people have reported it. The decision to remove content or suspend an account is always made by a human.
7.3 Actions. If something breaks these terms or the law, we may: reject the report · hide the content · remove the content · warn the account · suspend the account temporarily or permanently. We choose an action that is proportionate to the violation. Content that Venna has hidden is only visible to the person who created it and to Venna's moderators – not through links, search or suggestions.
7.4 Notice and appeal. Anyone affected by an action receives a notice explaining what applies, why and which rule it concerns, and can reply to us at support@venna.se if they believe the decision is wrong. We review the reply again. The person who reported receives notice of the outcome. Anyone who is permanently suspended may not create a new account for five years.
7.5 Authorities. If we suspect a crime that threatens someone's life or safety, we contact the police.
8. Plans, polls and communities
- Whoever creates a plan, poll or community is responsible for it and for who is invited. Only invite people you believe want to take part.
- Admins of a community are responsible for the community's events and can remove content and members in the community. They must follow these terms.
- If you leave or delete your account, what you created is handed over to another participant or admin as described in the privacy policy.
9. The service and changes
- Venna is constantly evolving. We may add, change or remove features. The service will match what we describe; if we remove something significant, we will say so in advance.
- We do our best to make sure Venna always works, but cannot promise that the service will always be available or free of errors.
- We may need to require you to update the app to continue using it.
10. Ending
- You can delete your account at any time in the app or at venna.se/radera-konto.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law, see section 7. The account is also deleted after 25 months without signing in, after a warning.
11. Liability
- Venna is provided as is. We are not responsible for other users' or organizers' content, for events, ticket purchases or for information from external sources.
- We are not liable for indirect damage, for example loss of profit. This limitation does not apply if we caused the damage intentionally or through gross negligence, and it does not restrict your rights under mandatory consumer law.
12. Changes to the terms
Significant changes are announced in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes required by law or for security reasons may take effect immediately. If you do not accept the change, you can delete your account before it takes effect.
13. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies. Please contact support@venna.se first – we solve most questions right away. You can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), arn.se. Otherwise, disputes are settled by the general courts of Sweden.
